Do I need a Legal Inspection? YES!
A Home Inspection is performed to look for defects in the property, a Realtor helps you find or sell a property, a lender is obtained to create the loan, and a title company is retained to insure the transfer your BUT is anyone reviewing and explaining the purchase and most importantly the documents with your best interests in mind?… Maybe your Realtor can be of some help (and aren’t they driven by commission to make the deal just happen)… but certainly not the other sides Realtor ,who only has the interest of their own client in mind. You need a Legal Inspection of your deal.
So what is a Legal Inspection? It is simply a review, by an attorney who concentrates in residential real estate, of each step of your transaction and all your corresponding documents. It is a careful assessment of your agreements and documents before you sign, to insure that the transaction is in your best interests. It should be the most important inspection performed before you reach the settlement table.
Get it done…… buying or selling real estate is likely the largest financial commitment you will ever make.
